Whiskey for the Ages is Five Years Old!

Whiskey for the Ages is Five Years Old!

With 2024 drawing to a close, we would like to say thank you to our many loyal followers, readers and subscribers across all our platforms. On this, our five year anniversary, we have archived nearly 350 individual reviews of almost 200 different whiskies. While our noses, taste buds, and preferences conflict from time to time, we do get to enjoy this adventure together as we share each day’s events over a good pour.

Whiskey for the Ages is Five Years Old

Last year (2023) we embarked on a new project … Our WftA Podcast … And to date, we’ve produced and uploaded thirty episodes. Our shows encompass a variety of topics, although each series includes recurring themes …

  • Review episodes” where we might review a product readily available on most store shelves, compare products while exploring a topic or even discuss a whiskey from our bunker voted on by listeners,
  • Guest Interviews” with like-minded whiskey aficionados, friends, family, and industry thought leaders,
  • Slow Pours” where we reflect on a loosely related whiskey topics .. anything from family to the value of our pours.
  • How to” shows where we offer insight on how we enjoy our amber liquid,
  • Whiskey Spotlights” where the focus might be on a distillery, proof or type,
  • Whiskey History” where we uncover whiskey’s place in the American landscape,
  • In addition, each episode includes our “This Fortnight in Whiskey” segment where we discuss recent happenings in the whiskey world.
Whiskey for the Ages is Five Years Old!

Whiskey for the Ages is Five Years Old! This year, in addition to postings on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest where we uploaded many articles with links to whiskey related industry news, we included updates and links to the podcasts we were making.

And an article posted early in the year, Blantons on Secondary, generated a lot of interest in the community, provoking lively exchange of dialog on several of the platforms.
