Elora’s Siponey Spritz Royale Review
Original review written May 23, 2020
Hello readers! This is going to be a review unlike any of my previous ones. Recently, we did a podcast called Women in the Liquor Store. One of the news announcements that my dad mentioned featured a veteran in the cocktail and spirits world: Amanda Victoria. My father reached out to her via LinkedIn, and after talking with her, she and a partner were kind enough to send us a sample of her Siponey Spritz flagship product to review.
I won’t hold you in suspense any longer, let’s get to the review!
*Though we are grateful for the opportunity to try a new product shared directly with us by its creator, Whiskey for the Ages’ views and reviews are our true impressions and this review is not sponsored*

My dad decided to try out one of the chicken dinner recipes from Siponey’s website and used one of the cans. There were four cans from the sample, so we each got a can for our drink with supper. The chicken was phenomenal with the Siponey; it had the perfect amount of honey sweetness with just the right amount of spice. There were also hints of lemon in both the meat and vegetables, which helped brighten the dish. I highly recommend trying this awesome dinner if you have a can of Siponey! See Brian’s Review to get the recipe and read his thoughts on this RTD cocktail.
As for the actual beverage… I unfortunately can’t give it the same praise as I did for the chicken dinner. While I am no stranger to mixed drinks, this was my first Ready-to-Drink (RTD) cocktail. I didn’t know what to expect, and I wasn’t sure whether I would like it just as much as I like ryes and other whiskies. For me, I felt like the drink could have used more carbonation, but I’ll chalk it up to the shipping and hot weather. I also felt like it could have used more lemon to help brighten and add an extra level tartness. It was a little too heavy on the rye and the honey.
I do want to say to Amanda Victoria and her partners at Siponey Spritz Co., thank you so much for allowing us to have a sample of your Siponey Royale RTD. We appreciate your kindness, and wish you the best with your other products.
